Dear members,

With anything new comes lots of inquiries and questions. I’ve created a short Q&A for you to keep you informed and hopefully answer some of the questions you have.

How to do I know my membership application has been accepted?

Review our membership checklist below to see where you are in the process of becoming a member:

  • Online application submitted

  • Joining fee paid

  • Received your membership welcome card

  • Received and returned your membership paperwork provided in the membership packet

Once all 4 steps are complete, we will issue your membership ID number, membership card, and welcome letter.

How are membership fees processed and charged?

The only payment required to become a registered member is your joining fee. This fee is part of the membership application process. The fees for your membership tier won’t be charged until the start of our opening month. You can choose to pay your annual membership in full, if preferred, but not required.

What doesn’t my membership include?

Additional costs associated with your membership include food and beverage purchases, unless otherwise stated, registration fees for special events such as tastings, themed dinner experiences, and additional special programming that requires extensive planning. We will offer plenty programming options that will be at no additional costs to our members.

How will I pay for food and beverage inside of the club? How will gratuities be handled?

You have the option to use your card on file for all club purchases or use a different card when it’s time to make a purchase. No cash will be accepted in the club and 18% gratuity will be added to all food and beverage purchases for staff to share. You will have the opportunity to give additional gratuities to staff members through our staff recognition program and various times throughout the year.

What type of programming will be standard offerings for the club?

This is just a snippet of activities at the club. Further details will be shared in our members only portal.

Weekly

  • Weekly Aperitivo Hour with light hors d’ oeuvres and weekly cocktails

  • Live music every Saturday night

  • Friday night card nights - you will sign up to join a card game for that week in our parlor rooms. NO GAMBLING ALLOWED.

  • Sunday’s Best - This is the one day in our business week where the day is dedicated to relaxation and light social interaction. The main club level and parlor rooms are fully open and available for members to kick their feet up and enjoy the space without social programming. This is also the day where our dress code is relaxed. Athleisure? Sure. Your most comfortable attire? YES! Our menu and our staff will be light on this day. Our club will adopt this day in our week to calm things down and just be in a relaxed setting.

Monthly

  • Cocktail making class + tasting - $

  • Apparel and gift trunk show in our retail store - $

  • Men’s networking social in the parlor rooms - no cost

  • Women’s networking social in the parlor rooms - no cost

Quarterly

  • Supper dining series with special guest chefs - $$

  • Art showcase - no cost but donations will be accepted to benefit a deserving organization in Lexington.

Annually

  • Luxury travel experience fully planned and accompanied by our luxury travel partner out of Chicago. The trip itineraries and costs will be released a year in advance to provide members ample time to plan and pay for their trip. Because these trips are meant to be social and cultural experiences, the number of people we can take with us will be minimal, however, we will offer 2 dates for back to back weeks. Trip payment arrangements will be accepted.

    • 2026 Experience Cuba - Itinerary released upon opening in spring of 2025. I AM VERY EXCITED TO BRING YOU THIS TRIP! Hemmingway’s house, Cuban Cigar making in the countryside, private luxury dinners…the best of the best guides who have been vetted through and through. 6 nights, 5 days, airfare not included.

    • 2026 All things Tequila! - Itinerary released in July of 2025 - A trip I have taken many times, and as some of you know, I am working on releasing my own tequila brand. This will be a once in a lifetime trip for many and hopefully, soul moving! Tequila distilleries, the town of Tequila, private tours, agave harvesting. You will experience the freedom and reverence that goes into making tequila, meet some of my friends in the fields and distilleries, eat VERY well of course, and see Mexico in a way you’ve never seen it before.

I hope you are as excited as I am to experience what The Melroy is creating for our community!

Warmest regards,
